Our team is led by Killdeer Consulting President and CEO, Pete Stivali RN, BSN, RAC-CT.
Our MDS consultants are registered nurses with vast clinical knowledge and experience. Each is highly skilled and trained in MDS consulting and passionate about helping SNFs improve their processes, maintain quality patient care, and increase their clinical reimbursement rates.
Pete Stivali RN, LNHA
President/CEO
Pete graduated cum laude from Keene State College in New Hampshire with a bachelor's degree in nursing and has spent his entire career in long-term care. He started right out of college as a staff RN and quickly advanced into several leadership positions, including evening supervisor, clinical reimbursement coordinator, and interim director of nursing. Taking care of the geriatric and health-compromised population gives Pete fulfillment knowing he is bettering the quality of life for his residents/patients. In the last few years, he has focused on MDS-related nursing—providing grade-A clinical reimbursement consulting services to skilled nursing facilities. He helps ensure SNFs provide high-quality, patient-centered care, comply with CMS regulations, the RAI manual, and receive the proper level of clinical reimbursement.
Pete holds an MDS (RAC-CT) certification and is also a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. Pete and his wife Darby enjoy spending time with their dogs, relaxing by their pool, and playing games with friends and family.
Darby graduated from Keene State College in Keene New Hampshire with a bachelor's degree in nursing and has worked as a nurse in a variety of settings. She began her career in a pediatric long-term care facility. Darby loved caring for the vulnerable pediatric population and ensuring her young patients received the best possible care. Darby later worked in the acute care setting in medical-surgical, telemetry, and ICU. She began her MDS career alongside her husband and Killdeer Consulting President Pete Stivali. Darby ensures accurate, timely MDS completion and RAI/CMS compliance. In her free time, Darby enjoys reading, spending time with her husband and their dogs, hanging by their pool, and attending concerts with friends.
